This study explores how sales force and administrative support would impact on corporate sales and firm performance in life insurance companies. We use the sample data of Taiwan life insurance companies for the period of 2004-08, provided by the Association of Taiwan Life Insurance Companies and the Center for Insurance Development. The major findings are as follows: First, corporate resources such as sales force and administrative support could have a positive impact on sales performance. Second, both corporate resources, i.e., sales force and administrative support, could have a positive impact on a firm’s service quality. Third, the study, however, finds no evidence that both corporate resources would impact on a firm’s operating performance.
