Nowadays, enterprises facing the global competition should directly or indirectly keep a close contact with the international market. Service quality and cost controls are becoming critical successful factors to business operations and collecting both internal and external information can help managers make better business decisions. Therefore, enterprises need a multi-functional integrated system to better control the speed in production lines, product delivery status, cash flow, and etc. to meet customers’ requirement as soon as possible.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system was known as a top solution for enterprise in the economic environment because of its benefits. In the 21st century, ERP becomes one of the required information infrastructures for big enterprises to choose their suppliers. However, a successful adoption of ERP system depends on lots of factors in technology, organizational culture and employee training. Human factors are always considered the most important factors impacting the adoption of ERP system. Due to this reason, the study tries to understand users’ behaviors when an organization adopts an ERP system. Based on the well-known Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study will analyze drivers for users to adopt the EPR system. The case company in the empirical study is an international textile company headquartered in Taiwan. Findings in the study may help organizations in similar industries make better decisions in adopting ERP systems.
