本研究於2008年5 ~ 7月間在南海北部海域進行兩個航次(CR866、FR1-2008- 07- 03)之現場生物及水文探測資料採集,以浮游生物採集網(ORI-net)所採集之仔稚魚樣本及溫深鹽度計(CTD),並收集衛星遙測和模式演算之環境資料,透過群集分析法及典型相關分析探究南海北部海域夏季仔稚魚群聚之特性。
研究結果顯示,本研究期間之水溫範圍在14.83°C到29.55°C之間(0~200m),鹽度範圍在33.64psu到34.83psu之間。生物樣本共採集2,254尾仔稚魚,分屬於73科166類。其中前十大優勢物種分別為Vinciguerria nimbaria (13.80%)、Diaphus A group (12.33%)、Cyclothone alba (7.81%)、Diogenichthys atlanticus (3.73%)、Ceratoscopelus warmingii (3.59%)、Diaphus B group (3.50%)、Sigmops gracilis (3.24%)、Gobiidae type 1 (2.71%)、Benthosema suborbitale (2.66%)及Lampanyctus spp. (2.40%);仔稚魚豐度則在9.49至960.08 inds./1000m3之間變動,平均為225.84 ± 276.62 inds./1000m3;至於多樣性指數方面,歧異度指數為3.70 ± 0.78,均勻度指數為0.84 ± 0.09,豐富度指數為3.75 ± 1.85,而多樣性閥值為3.10 ±0.70。
仔稚魚群聚分析結果顯示,依測站分群結果可分為陸棚類群及外洋類群,陸棚類群主要優勢物種為Gobiidae type 1、Bleekeria mitsukurii、Clupeidae spp.,而外洋類群可再細分出斜坡子類群及海盆子類群,其中斜坡子類群主要優勢物種為Diaphus A group、Vinciguerria nimbaria、Sigmops gracilis;而海盆子類群優勢物種則為Diaphus A group、Vinciguerria nimbaria、Cyclothone alba。另外針對定點測站之分群結果可分為清晨類群及傍晚類群,前者之主要優勢物種為Vinciguerria nimbaria、Diaphus A group、Cyclothone alba;後者為Vinciguerria nimbaria、Diaphus A group、Diogenichthys atlanticus。
典型相關分析結果顯示,Cyclothone alba及Benthosema suborbitale之豐度主要與風速、葉綠素a呈負相關與溫度、鹽度呈正相關而Gobiidae type 1、Lampanyctus spp.之豐度則反之;Vinciguerria nimbaria及Diaphus B group之豐度則主要與混合層深度呈正相關與日夜採集時間呈負相關,而Ceratoscopelus warmingii及Sigmops gracilis之豐度則反之。
