　　在現今全球化的背景下，網絡連結的概念逐漸受到重視，網絡科學也因此逐漸興盛。在過去的網絡科學研究中，我們所知的網絡連結形態僅有隨機網絡與正規網絡兩種，但西元一九九八年Watts與Strogatz所發現的小世界網絡與西元一九九九年Barabasi和Alber所發現的無尺度網絡卻顛覆了此一看法，也替網絡科學的研究帶起另一波的研究風潮。

　　本研究主要是從小世界與無尺度的角度切入探討由飛機航線所形成之全球城市網絡的連結特性。在從網絡經濟、小世界特性與無尺度特性等三面向進行實證後，發現了1.隨著網絡規模的擴大，群聚度(C)下降的較為快速、路徑長度(L)上升的較為緩慢，而節點連結數(K)之分布形態則會更趨於無尺度分配、2.若其網絡節點連結數(K)之分配型態具備明顯的無尺度特性，則網絡中便會具備帕雷托法則之特性，亦即節點連結數排名(K)在約前百分之二十之節點便掌握了網絡中約百分之八十的節點運作。與3.在小世界特性中，CL、K與SWS之優勢節點的重要程度是為SWS大於K大於CL；而在無尺度特性中，其重要程度則是為K大於SWS大於CL優勢程度。

此外，本研究亦從網絡節點個體的角度解釋出了群聚度(C) 可代表節點城市之區域發展潛力，路徑長度(L) 可衡量節點城市在網絡中之相對中心位置、節點連結數(K) 可代表節點城市本身發展潛力，此些概念亦相當值得作為後續關於衡量全球城市發展潛力指標之研究的參考。且由實證數據歸納可知，似乎全球主要城市所反映出之特性是為群聚度(C)低、路徑長度(L)低以及節點連結數(K)高等。

　　In the background of globalization, the concept of Network links is more and more import, and the Network science is also more and more prosper. In the past, the Network science of research only know two patterns of connective network of regular and random, However, Watts and Strogatz find the small-world network in 1998, and Barabasi and Alber find the scale-free network in 1999 is change the view of the Network science, it is also bring a new wave of Network science research.

　　The present research is an exploration into the connectivity characteristics of global city networks organize by airline routes based on the small-world and scale free perspectives. Proof the connectivity characteristics from the three direction of network economic, small-world characteristic and scale free characteristic. We find 1.With the expansion of the network size, the cluster coefficient will decrease quickly, the path length coefficient will increase slowly and the degree coefficient will tend to the scale-free characteristic. 2.If the degree coefficient has the apparent scale-free characteristic, and the network will possess the Pareto principle, which the degree coefficient of top nodes about 20％ will affect the nodes in the network about 80％. 3.In the small-world characteristic, the SWS predominance is more important than the K predominance than the CL predominance, in the scale-free characteristic, the K predominance is more important than the SWS predominance than the CL predominance.

　　Besides, the present research also exploration the cluster coefficient can be representative the city’s regional potential, the path length coefficient can be representative the cities’ relative central position of the network, and the degree coefficient can be representative the cities’ potential of itself from the point of the individuality, these conception can be useful of provide a aspect on the research about judge the global cities’ potential. And summarized by the empirical data we can see that the global cities’ characteristic seems as if has the lower cluster coefficient, the lower path length coefficient, and the higher degree coefficient.
