本研究以木皮與不銹鋼質地組合為例，探討質地組合對情感感受之影響，共規劃了3個實驗。在實驗一中使用13對情感量尺調查14種木皮質地之情感感受。實驗二中調查書桌設計之不鏽鋼與木皮質地的搭配情形。
實驗三用質地樣本並列和質地組合應用於書桌設計上2種方式呈現，探討質地組合之情感感受。
結果發現，木皮質地的情感感受可用3個因子描述之，分為優雅感、隨興感及躍動感。而這些情感因子在加入不鏽鋼質地之後，結果發現情感因子會受到影響。質地組合之情感因子不論在質地並列或是應用於書桌的呈現方式，皆可用2個情感因子描述之：愉悅感與評估性。

In order to understand how the texture combination influence emotions, we take timber textures and stainless steels as examples. In experiment 1, we used 13 emotion scales to investigate the emotion of 14 timber textures; in experiment 2, we invited 31 well-educated observers to investigate the prototypes of desk; in experiment 3, we combined 14 timber texture textures and 2 stainless steels textures (mirror, matte), and used 6 emotional vocabularies to evaluate. We found that in experiment 1, we obtained 3 factors of timber texture textures and they can be categorized into 4 categories; in experiment 2, the features of a desk includes: timberen desktop, drawer, stainless legs and grips of the drawer; in experiment 3, after combining timber textures and stainless stainless steels, we might change the emotion of timber texture. The results showed that the practical product and prototype combination have the same influence to observers’ emotions. In other words, we can presume the emotion induced by practical products through the emotion of texture observation on prototype combination.
