Changing the position and size etched in the planar dual-mode band- pass filter can influent characteristics of filter included the resonant frequency﹑the insertion loss、the return loss and the 3dB bandwidth. The primary design process about this topic is demonstrated. The proposed bandpass filter are simulated on FR4 ( =4.4 ) substrate for microwave frequency by the IE3D microwave simulation software. Each pattern is connected with two 50Ω microstrip line, one for input and the other for output. Two 50Ω microstrip line are connected to the central of the patch with two notches. We get some conclusion included that the larger slot causes the smaller resonant frequency and the insertion loss the return loss and the 3dB bandwidth varied with the size of slot. And also the resonant frequency﹑the insertion loss ﹑the return loss and the 3dB bandwidth are influenced by the position of slot. The successful filter research have been implemented and discussed in this dissertation.
