研究戰略的人而言,地理概念是絕不可缺少的,因為它直接涉及到地球的空
間概念,能使抽象的戰略構想與觀念獲得具體化,且能檢證戰略方案的可行
性.此外,國家所採取的政策及行動亦受其所處的天然環境所影響,例如國
土面積,資源,位置,....等,這些環境因素直接地影響了國家的軍事政策,
也間接地使政府在進行各項決策時,必須要考量到這些環境因素.本文各章
的概略內容如下: 首章是分別概述政治地理學,地緣政治學,以及其所
衍生發展出的地緣戰略,並對其三者的發展淵源及特點做概略性說明.
其次是依據部份學者在早期對我國的地緣政治地位所提出的觀點,探討我
國在冷戰與後冷戰時期所處的東亞,西太平洋地區之地緣政治地位,以期找
出我國現今的地緣戰略地位.本章的討論,大抵是以"位置"的觀點來進行,
並從歷史的脈絡中尋找各地理位置所具有的影響及價值. 第三章則是
以我國國土的自然地理與人文地理所具有的條件及環境,來研究我國的地
緣戰略基礎,以明瞭我國的國防地緣戰略有哪些地理先決因素影響?及這些
地理特性對我國的國防地緣戰略所可能造成的優缺點. 至於第四章則
是從國際形勢與區域環境中,找出對我國的國防地緣戰略有著重要影響的
對象,並對其影響做一個粗淺的分析與暸解,以假定我國防地緣戰略所應設
想的假想敵.因此,本章的分析多以國際關係研究方式為主.以期能對地緣
戰略中的國際政治因素有較好的暸解.此外,在本章中,學生將以個人所提
出的"汎東亞島弧區"之區域地理概念來探討我國所處的地緣戰略形勢.
最後一章則是筆者個人於之前所列各章對我國的國防地緣戰略特點探討
後,提出筆者個人以地緣戰略觀點所建議的外交,軍事意見.另針對國內部
份人士所提出的中共武力犯臺模式,以地緣戰略觀點進行檢討,並於本章之
後再另列全文之結論.

孔 令 晟Abstract: For studying of strategy,it couldn''t
be lack of geographic concept.Becauseof it is directly concerned
of the glouble space concept to be substantiated.Then it could
be improved the possibility of strategic scheme. Moreover,our G-
overment''s policy and action are also influenced by the existed
national circ-umstances. For example the national territory
area,nature sources,and occupat-ion. That directly influence
country military policies and be indirectly alsocaused to
serious consider the mentioned circumstances for the decision of
ea-ch policy. The descriptions of each chapter are as
followings: The first chapter of all is simply described the
Political Geography,Geop-olitics and Geostrategy developed from
the early prior. To be simply explanat-ion the developing origin
and specialities among the above three. The second chapter is
according to some of scholar''s comments for our nat-ional
geopolitics to discuss our geopolitical role in the periods of
Cold Warand behind the Cold War between Eastern-asia and Western
Pacific area,in expe-cting to find our country present situation
for geostrategy. In the chapter,wediscussed in vies of the
"occupation" to progress and related things for eachgeostrategic
situation. The third chapter,in order to understand Taiwan''s
geostrategic base,is di-scussing about country-lands''condition,
location and circumstance under naturaland cultural features.
Then we could be able to realize the characters on Tai-wan''s
geostrategy easily. The fourth chapter have general
exploration to international circumstanceand regional
relationalship affecting the form of geostrategic concept
deeply. The fifth chapter is build by some scholar''s and my
own opinions to the F-oreign and military policies concerned
about the probablity of P.R.C. attacki-ng R.O.C.
