Lin Xiao-Mei was a girl at 7th grade. Her mother, A-Yu, was a new immigrant from Vietnam. Due to the memory of being abandoned, Lin Xiao-Mei was on the outs with her mother. Lin Xiao-Mei’s classmate, Bai Yi-Xiang, had the symptoms of Asperger Syndrome and the special power of seeing ghosts. Lin Xiao-Mei helped Bai Yi-Xiang overcome his communication barriers caused by Asperger Syndrome and adapt to the school life, and also assisted him with a series of supernatural events about ghosts. They both became mature from these supernatural events and understood the virtue of caring the weak and their families. In the end, Lin Xiao-Mei made up with A-Yu and accepted the fact that she was a child of a new immigrant, and they lived happily ever after.
