本篇論文研究是基於開放源始碼的韌體OpenWrt系統建置給小型企業或是家庭使用的便宜又有效率的VoIP解決方案。大部分VoIP的功能都已經在實驗的環境中通過測試，而一台在零售市場售價大約美金50塊的BUFFALO WZR-HP-G300NH無線路由器在同一時間內30通穩定的SIP通話也沒有任何問題。語音閘道器跟OpenWrt-base Asterisk之間的接入和撥出的通話也測試正常。
本篇論文涵蓋的內容有VoIP的基礎概念、嵌入式系統以及網路的相關技術，而對於開放原始碼的韌體OpenWrt系統不僅只能提供VoIP的功能，更提供強大的網路相關功能，例如防火牆以及無線功能。
此外，我們希望有更多的人可以投入開放原始碼的韌體或軟體進行開發研究，設計更多樣化的解決方案。

This study is based on open source firmware OpenWrt to develop a cost-effective VoIP solution to implement for small business or home-use environments. Most familiar VoIP functions had been tested and verified successfully at experimental environment of this study and stable 30 simultaneous SIP calls were verified on BUFFALO WZR-HP-G300NH wireless router sold around US$50 at retail market. Incoming and outgoing calls between OpenWrt-base Asterisk and voice gateway were also tested without any issue at experimental environment.
This study involves more VoIP conceptions, framework of embedded system and network related technologies. OpenWrt system not only offers the VoIP functions but also offers various network features such as network firewall or wireless connection.
Furthermore, we expect more and more people could use open source software or firmware to design various solutions.
