隨著硬體與無線傳輸技術的進步,無線感測網路(Wireless Sensor Networks, WSN)廣泛地應用於軍事偵測、位置追蹤、環境採樣及健康監控等領域。一般而言,WSN中的基本組成元件有起始點(sink node)和感測點(sensor node);sink node可藉由request packet的指定來要求某區sensor nodes定期回傳environment information。當多個sink nodes對同一特定區域的sensor nodes下達收集相似但不相同的資料收集命令時,開發WSN資料收集的重覆利用性,不僅可節省頻寬及電量的消耗,亦可減少資料的誤差值,並有效增長WSN 的lifetime。本論文所提出的動態共享路徑通訊協定,乃根據不同sink node先後發出不同的偵測資料屬性(例如:頻率、封包長度或延遲時間),來動態調整資料的傳輸路徑,以達到共享路徑、減少路徑長度及delay time等目的。實驗數據顯示,本論文所提出的協定可達到到省電、節省頻寬損耗及增長WSN 的lifetime等目的。
With the progress of development in hardware and wireless transmission technologies, wireless sensor network (or WSN) has been widely applied in many fields including military monitoring, location tracking, environmental sampling, health monitoring, and so forth. The basic elements in WSN include sink nodes and sensor nodes;sink node can send request packet to ask sensor nodes in a certain area to periodically send back the collected environmental information to sink node. When multiple sinks send similar but not the same requests to sensor nodes, exploring the reuse of overheared data in WSN enables considerable bandwidth conservation, reduction in power dissipation and data error rate, prolonging the WSN’s lifetime. The proposed route sharing protocol adaptively construct data transmission path depending on different sensing attributes to achieve the goals of reduction in route length and delayed time. The simulation results shows that the proposed protocol is able to construct route sharing paths, thus saves power and bandwidth consumptions.
