A micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography method for the simulta neous determinatin of dulcin, sapartame, saccharin, acesulfame-K, sorbic acid, benzoic acid, dehydroacetic acid and p-hydroxybenzoates (methyl-, ethyl-, prop yl-, isopropyl-, butyl- andisobutyl-p-hydroxybenzoate) in preserved fruits was developed. Asolid phase extraction method, Sep-Pak C-18 cartridge for the sam plepreparation are used. For good separation of these compounds, 0.05M sodium deoxycholate in borate-phosphate buffer solution (pH 8.6)containing 5% acetoni trile as a electrolyte buffer solution and a 57 cm×75 ug I.D. capillary fused silica tubing are reguired and detectedby UV at 214 nm. The average recoverie s of dulcin , aspartame, saccharin, acesulfame-K, sorbic acid, benzoic acid, d ehydroaceticacid and p-hydroxybenzoates (methyl-, ethyl-, propyl-, isopropyl-, butyl- and isobutyl-p-hydroxybenzoate) fortified to samples were inrange of 10 5.3-107.1%, 92.8-100.2%, 93.8-97.6%, 85.2-95.4%,94.8-96.1%, 90.1-100.3%, 89.9- 92.5%, 95.1-103.6%, 93.1-94.6%,91.8-94.6%, 91.2-94.6%, 94.8-95.6% and 93.4-102 .4%, respectively. The detection limits of this method were dulcin 50 ug/g, asp artame 25ug/g, saccharin 10 ug/g, acesulfame-K 25 ug/g; p-hydroxybenzoates(met hyl-, ethyl-, isopropyl- and propyl-p-hydroxybenzoate) were 15ug/g; isobutyl-, butyl-p-hydroxybenzoate and dehydroacetic acid were 20 ug/g; sorbic acid and benzoic acid were 25 ug/g.
