Rationale and motivation of this research is such as Emerging the rapid development of mobile technologies, mobile learning, M-learning, is beginning to offer 'stunning new technical capabilities' and become a new trend in education. Based on the literature review, this research understand the forming of mobile learning and employee training then to apply questionnaire to investigate how data mining integrated with mobile learning enhances enterprise employee training performance.
Research method of this research is designed in two phases. The details of each phase are illustrated as follows: The first stage is analyze the forming of mobile learning and employee training from historical literature review, then to analyze enterprise knowledge management system that affect mobile learning from secondary data. The second is to conduct in-depth interview with experts to confirm validity of the research and then conduct further questionnaire survey and apply quantitative analysis to confirm our research findings, then to verify research constructs and hypotheses.
As a result, many research articles regarding M-learning are found related to technical dimension, though little is on management perspectives. In addition, empirical studies on M-learning implementation, especially on education implementation are carried out by many researchers. So far implementing M-learning systems for enterprises are still at early stage in Taiwan and research on this topic is scarce. This is an exploratory research of M-learning implementation which focuses on industries in Taiwan. The findings of this research will provide valuable information for the enterprises which plan to implement M-learning systems with awareness of integrated M-learning system to avoid M-learning failure.
The questionnaires were distributed to the representatives of the enterprises of some Annual Academic Conferences. 150 questionnaires were distributed in total. Finally 135 questionnaires were collected.
It’s recommended that this research provide the solutions regarding how to plan M-learning system to reach enterprise performance requirement. Recommendations on M-learning management are proposed as well. They will be discussed in detail at Chapter 6 Managerial Implication.
