摘 要

本研究主要探討國小職前教師與在職教師對科學過程技能本質了解之情形.
針對不同個人變項的在職教師及職前教師對科學過程技能本質的了解情形進行
分析.
本研究採用問卷調查法,參考WISP(1967)及SPI兩份評量量表,採取科學過程
技能中的[觀察][測量][分類][預測][傳達][實驗][形成假設]等七項本質,編製
成[科學過程技能本質問卷].以問卷針對高屏地區三縣市在職教師976名,屏東師
範學院及臺南師範學院日間部職前教師共412名,進行調查研究.問卷資料以SPSS
之統計方法進行資料分析.主要結果及建議如下:

(一)職前教師對[觀察][測量][分類][實驗][傳達]等科學過程技能本質呈現
尚稱了解的情形,對[預測][形成假設]等科學過程技能本質則呈現不了解的情形.

(二)在職教師對[觀察][傳達][測量]等科學過程技能本質呈現了解的情形,
對[實驗][形成假設][分類]等科學過程技能本質呈現尚稱了解的情形,對[預測]
此一科學過程技能本質則呈現不了解的情形.

(三)比較職前教師與在職教師對七項科學過程技能本質了解的情形:在職教師
對[觀察][測量][傳達][形成假設]等本質的了解程度優於職前教師;職前教師與
在職教師對[分類][實驗]等科學過程技能本質的了解程度均為尚稱了解的情形;而
在[預測]此一科學過程技能本質上,職前教師與在職教師則同樣是不了解的情形.

(四)本研究結果可提供國小師資培育機構及在職進修機構規劃科學教育課程
及相關研究之參考.

Abstract

This research was an attempt to investigate the understanding of the
nature of scientific process skill owned by 412 preservice elementary
teachers from National Pintung Teachers College and National Tainan
Teachers College and 976 inservice elementary teachers from different
schools located in Kaohsiung and Pingtung area.
The "Questionnaire of the Nature of Scientific Process Skill(QNSPK)",
Adapted from Wisconsin Inventory Science Process (WISP,1967) and Science
Process Inventory (SPI,1967),were developed and administered.
The results from QNSPK were statistically analyzed with Statistical
Package for the Social Science (SPSS).The major findings include:

1.The preservice elemenyary teachers understand the nature of
scientific process skill on observing,measuring,classifying,experimenting,
communication a little, but they do not understand the nature of scientific
process skill on predicting and hypothesizing.

2.The inservice elementary teachers understand the nature of scientific
process skill on measuring,communication and observing, and they also
understand the nature of scientific process skill on classifying,experimenting
and hypothesizing a little;yet,they do not understand the nature of scientific
process skill on predicting.

3.The inservice teachers were far better than the preservice teachers in
understanding the nature of scientific process skill on observing,measuring,
communication and hypothesizing. The inservice teachers and the preservice
teachers understand the nature of scientific process skill on classifying
and experimenting a little, and they all do not understand the nature of
predicting in terms of scientific process skill.

4.The above findings are offered as reference for elementary teachers
as their prior knowledge . Also ,they can be used as a guide for inservice
teachers'' training and scientific educational course design.
