活動假牙的印模必須能夠將口腔中軟硬組織關係真實呈現出來,如此所製作出來的活動假牙支架,才能夠確實的密合於口腔環境中。印模完成後所灌製出的石膏模型與金屬主模的尺寸變化是本實驗研究的重點。而各印模材料所印製出的石膏模型的表面粗糙度,亦是本實驗的另一研究重點。本實驗以6種印模材料,印製上頜全口金屬牙弓模型;一種加成式矽膠類印模材料(Imprint II),四種藻膠類印模材料(AccuDent, CA38, Hydrogum, Jeltrate),以及一種瓊膠類印模材料(Cohere608),與三種印模托(COE original tray, COE spacer tray, Accu tray),以及黏著劑的塗布與否,共分成六組進行實驗,每一組皆印製六個石膏模型,測量各組石膏模型上支台齒間的水平距離變化量,以及各組石膏模型的表面粗糙度。實驗結果顯示,使用沒有塗上黏著劑的塑膠類印模扥進行藻膠印模材料印模時,所印製出的石膏模型的尺寸變化與其他各組比較有明顯差異(p<0.05)。此結果表示,以沒有塗上粘著劑的塑膠類的印模托印模,易產生較不精確的模型。而在各印模材料的表面粗糙度測量結果,以加成式矽膠類印模材料(Imprint II)所印製出的石膏模型表面的表面粗糙度最小(p<0.05),再來是瓊膠類印模材料(Cohere608),和藻膠類印模材料(Hydrogum、AccuDent、CA38)。

The impressions for removable partial dentures should carry the ability to record the accuracy and detail of both the teeth and soft tissues. And the casts poured from the impressions should be the exact replicas of the oral structures to ensure the fit of RPD framework.
The aim of this study is to analyze the accuracy and surface roughness of various impression materials and methods. The model is a full arch stainless steel master model with five cones represents the prepared abutments of the right first molar, right canine, right central incisor, left first premolar, and the left first molar on the maxillary. The materials used are additional silicone (Imprint II), irreversible hydrocolloids (AccuDent, Hydrogum, CA38 and Jeltrate), and reversible hydrocolloid Cohere 608). Stock (COE) or special ( Accu tray) is used and compared in certain circumstances. With or without adhesive for impressions are also examined and discussed. The distances between abutments of master model and poured casts are recorded and analyzed. The surface roughness of the poured casts for various impression materials is also registered in this study.
The results show that there are statistically significant in dimensional change between master cast and any other poured casts from impression materials. Of those poured casts, the ones with additional silicone impression material show the highest accuracy, and the alginate impressions without adhesive on the trays show the poorest result. The poured casts from alginate impressions (either traditional alginates, eq. Hygrogum, CA38, and Jeltrate, or special formula alginate, eq. AccuDent) with adhesive on tray (either stock tray or special tray) end up with acceptable results.
In surface quality results, the casts from additional silicone show the best result, followed by agar impression materials and alginate impression shows the worst result.
