近年來政府推展文化產業,帶動地方新商機,紛紛推出當地文化特色商品,除可了解當地文化之外,也能將深具文化特色商品帶回家,此時包裝就扮演著重要角色。一個好包裝除了視覺觸動購買意願與資訊傳達、保護功能,從購買到攜帶回家的過程中,若能在包裝上貼心加上具有運輸功能「提把」,解決攜帶的煩惱,必能提升購買意願。
當提把結構是包裝造型的一環時,更會影響攜帶、取放商品的方便性,因此,採用何種結構是「手提式紙包裝盒」設計必需要考量重要因素。綠色設計是包裝的趨勢,單一材質更是降低成本兼顧環保,由於紙取得容易並對社會環境影響最小,因此「紙」就是最首選的包材。

通用設計是當今世界設計的趨勢,以人本關懷為出發點的設計概念也深刻影響各設計領域。本研究秉持這種精神,試以通用設計之精神融入紙器包裝結構設計中的提把結構設計面向,運用針對一般民眾的問卷調查與專家的結構式間接訪談,歸納出初步的符合通用設計原則的結構設計方向,並輔以實驗驗證再次修正並確認最終的結構設計準則,藉以獲得實際之結論。

研究方法則是以蒐集國內外手提式紙包裝盒及獲得中華民國專利之手提式包裝結構樣本方式,並採用「KJ」歸島法,進行樣本歸島揀選出六種手提結構代表性樣本,並進行專家結構性間接訪談,此次訪談可藉由專家豐富的包裝設計經驗,彙整出最佳手提包裝結構。同時進行一般大眾之體驗之問卷(問卷調查法)了解一般民眾對於紙包裝盒手提式結構的使用評價,再將結果綜合分析歸納出符合通用設計原則之紙包裝盒提把結構的初步設計方向,導入通用設計P.P.P評估法、ISO Guide71配慮指針等,建立初步的提把結構設計模式之後,進行代表性樣本之改良設計。

此改良後之樣本,再進行抽樣實驗驗證問卷調查,將實驗驗證問卷結果統計分析後,獲得通用設計原則並應用於提把結構設計的具體結論,建構符合通用設計的紙包裝盒提把結構設計模式,提供日後設計師與業界於「符合通用設計」之「紙包裝盒提把結構設計」創作時,能夠獲得提把結構相關資訊的協助。
Recently, our government promotes and supports the Cultural Industries to push new business profits of the local forward. Thus, the local owners launch the merchandise with local cultural characteristics. The merchandise not only leads us to understand the local cultures but also let us take unique cultural merchandise home. For these multiple purposes, the package of the merchandise plays a key role in the situation. A good package has to provoke the consumers’ shopping desire by visual impulses meanwhile communicate information and protect the inner item. On the process from purchasing to carrying home, if the package could have the portable handle with transportation function, the thoughtful idea could solve the problems for carrying and rise purchase intention.

When we take the portable handling structures as an aspect of package shape, it influences the convenience of carrying, taking out and putting in. Therefore, what kind of the structures we choose is the important factor to concern in portable handling carton package design. The carton’s main material is paper. Thus, in order to follow the trend of Green packaging design and hold the advantages such that single material would reduce costs and consider about the environmental protection. Additionally, paper is accessible and environmental harmless so paper is premium material of package.

Universal Design is trend of world design, the human-centered concepts of design made influence on various design fields. This study held that kind of spirit, intending to apply the UD concepts to the portable handling structures of carton package structures design. With using Questionnaire Survey (for normal candidates) and Structured Indirect Interview Method (for experts), we could induct the initial design criteria of portable handling structures consisting with Universal Design Principles. Afterward, we modified the design criteria with back-testing experiment and gradually derived the ultimate design criteria of portable handling structures consisting with Universal Design Principles and got the concrete conclusion.

Our research methods divide into certain parts as followed, first collecting domestic and foreign portable handling carton package and carton package samples in R.O.C. Patent official system. Then, apply KJ Method to select 6 symbolic samples of portable handling carton package and conduct Structured Indirect Interview with the experts. Through the Structured Indirect Interview, we could get an optimal portable handling structure of carton package. Meanwhile, we conduct Questionnaire Survey on normal candidates to figure out the valuation about using portable handling structures carton package. Furthermore, we analyzed the conclusions of these two parts and derived the initial design direction of portable handling structures. Then, adding the P.P.P., ISO Guide71 into the design direction, establish the initial design criteria of portable handling structures for back-testing experiment of symbolic samples.

The modified samples were used in sampling survey for back-testing experiment. With the analyzed conclusion, we got the design criteria of portable handling structures and tended to apply on the concrete conclusion. Establishing the design criteria of portable handling structures consisting to UD principles will provide designer and related corporations a reference model when they create the portable handling structures of carton package. Besides, they could be helped by the related information of portable handling structures for Universal Design.
