這篇論文主要依據 H. Berestycki 和 P. -L. Lions 合撰的Nonlinear scalar field equations, I existence of a ground state 當中的理論架構為參考做數學推導，一開始先探討方程式有解時，非線性項的必要條件，而後面以變分學方法中的constrained minimization method 求得minimizer。最後利用經過Schwarz’s
symmetrization 後minimizer 之對稱性做為不同的替代方法求得Klein-Gordan equation 的weak soiution。證明weak soiution 的存在性後，討論當classical solution存在時，其在邊界的exponentially decay 性質。
