網路資訊的擷取系統,雖提供大量資料給使用者,但使用者卻必須花更多的時間來選取資料,且資料如橫跨各領域時,很難考慮使用者的真正所需。本論文提出一資訊整合系統,透過包裝器、資料清理與資訊整合等相關技術,來提供高品質且有意義的資訊給使用者。本論文詳細描述了在網際網路的FAQ查詢系統中,如何利用領域本體論來對解答進行萃取、清理與整合的工作。解答整合的機制分成兩個部分,一部分是關於解答的前置處理與儲存,另一部分是解答的整合與呈現。前一部分是利用包裝器的技術來處理解答,包含解答剖析器、解答清理器與解答轉換器,來進行解答萃取、雜訊移除與格式統一的工作,之後透過有本體論支援的資料庫管理者,儲存解答。另外,亦透過此管理者來檢查網頁或網站的分類,藉以觸發網站模式維護器修改網頁或網站的分類。後一部分則是經由使用者或其他需要解答的模組來啟動解答整合器,整合出所需解答。實驗顯示,透過此兩部分的合作,以及本體論的協助,本系統能夠提供使用者高品質且有意義的解答。
Current web information retrieval systems usually provide overwhelming information that covers all kind of domains, which usually causes the user to spend more time in selecting really needed information. This thesis proposes the concept of information integration to provide high quality and meaningful information for users. It describes in detail how an information integration system uses domain ontology to help solution extraction, cleaning, and integration to answer frequently asked questions. The system contains two phases, including solutions pre-processing and storage, and solutions integration and presentation. The former takes care of solution extraction, data cleaning, and representation unifying using the wrapper technique that contains a solution parser, a solution cleaner, and a solution transformer. A database manager is responsible for managing the storage and accessing of all solutions. It is also responsible for checking webpage classification in order to invoke the website model maintainer to properly maintain the classification of webpages or websites. The latter handles solution integration and presentation to the users. Our experiments show that with domain ontology, solution pre-processing and integration, the system can indeed provide high quality and meaningful information for the user.
