本論文提出兩種可應用於3.5G手機系統之天線,滿足GSM、DCS、PCS、UMTS、Bluetooth、WLAN與WiMAX規範的頻段。本研究所提出的共平面天線均使用FR4為板材,具結構簡單的特色。本論文提出混合型天線,其係單極天線混合迴路天線,在低頻方面由單極天線做激發,於GSM、DCS、PCS、UMTS、Bluetooth區段中有全方向性場型,而高頻部份由迴路天線激發下,WLAN與WiMAX頻段下皆可涵蓋,其中天線增益最高可達到約4dBi。本論文另提出C型單極天線,其由單極天線激發,皆涵蓋所需要頻段,且於各區段中皆有全方向性場型,天線增益中最高可以達到5dBi。
We have proposed two types of built-in internal antennas implemented in 3.5G mobile handset for application in GSM、DCS、PCS、UMTS、Bluetooth、WLAN and WiMAX frequency bands. Both designs were printed on FR4 substrates and have the character of simple structure. The first antenna architecture is a hybrid antenna consists of a monopole and a loop antenna. The resonant element for the lower band which has application for GSM、DCS、PCS、UMTS、Bluetooth is facilitated by the monopole antenna, while that of the higher band for WLAN and WiMAX application is provided by the loop antenna. Near omni-directional radiation patterns have been achieved for the proposed antenna system with a measured peak gain of about 4dBi. The architectural design of the second antenna consists of a C-shape monopole antenna. This antenna design generated radiation covering the entire operation bands. The radiation patterns were near omni-directional in the operation bands with a measured peak gain of about 5dBi.
