台灣已邁入高齡社會，老年人口的照顧是現今不可忽視的議題。面對高齡社會，世界衛生組織（World Health Organization, 2016）曾在計劃中提出「代間連帶」原則，強調透過代間共同分擔老人照顧的風險與成本，可促進社會凝聚、降低整體社會負擔。然而，在家庭生活改變及社會變遷下，使成年子女與父母不同住的比率增加，因此在未來獨立居住可能成為世代之間不可避免的趨勢。在此種情境下，子女該如何因應這種轉變，且如何繼續維持代間關係與提供父母照顧與支持，是研究中所關注的重點。本研究將以代間連帶理論的多面向代間關係為基礎，探討不同住之已婚子女的代間關係，並分析代間關係與照顧父母行為之關聯。
本研究以2011年與2016年台灣社會變遷調查家庭組資料為基礎，針對741位已婚且與父母不同住之受訪者的資料進行多元迴歸分析。資料分析結果顯示，子女提供父母財務、勞務和情感支持有性別差異。其次，居住距離越近，子女提供勞務與情感支持的頻率越高。再者，夫妻間奉養權力分配會影響子女提供財務支持。最後，代間關係與子女提供財務、勞務和情感支持皆有顯著影響。

The paper examines the associations between the intergenerational relationships and adult children support to ageing parents. Nowadays, the family pattern is becoming more diverse, and the number of the ageing parents and children not living together is increasing. Facing the aged society, the World Health Organization (2016) proposed the " Intergenerational Solidarity" principle in the plan, which emphasizes that sharing the risks and the costs of elderly care through intergeneration, can promote social cohesion and reduce the social burden. Thus, the intergenerational relationships is important to the care for the elderly parents. The data for the present research are drawn from the 2011 and the 2016 Taiwan Social Change Surveys. The sample is a composite of 741 married respondents who had at least one parent alive and lived apart from their parents. Research results first show gender diversity in the financial, labor and emotional support of the parents. Second, the geographic closeness affects the respondents’ likelihood of providing labor and emotional supports to their ageing parents. Furthermore, the respondents’ autonomy of making decision to take care ageing parents is significantly associated with the extent of their financial supports to their parents. Finally, the frequency of and the quality of intergenerational interactions act as significant and positive predicting factors on the willingness to provide the financial, labor, and emotional supports to ageing parents.
