“Da-Guang-xian, Ke-zai-xian and Orchestra”by Chu Yun-Song, using two main accompaniment string instruments (which are Da-Guang-xian and Ke-zai-xian) in Taiwanese folk opera, is an excellent and challenging with a fusion of four exquisite folk songs and a touch of traditional elements in contemporary composition. Firstly, this dissertation aims to collate the composer's education background and the refinement of this composition, following by review the structure of both instruments. Thirdly, is to analayse the form arrangement and of this composition. Lastly, is comprehensing above outcomes and attempts to address own interpretation towards this work. Both Da Guang Xian and Ke Zai Xian are jewels of Taiwanese Traditional Theater Arts, while this dissertation hopes to enrich, improve and preserve the study of both instruments in traditional music.
