男性青少年學業成績與體適能相關之研究
~以新竹市立三民國中為例

摘 要
本研究的目的在探討不同學業成績的男性青少年,其身體組成、柔軟度、肌肉適能、瞬發力與心肺耐力的差異。研究對象為新竹市立三民國中三年級健康男學生,共計480名,以學業成績作為分組依據,以前27%代表高分組(131人),後27%代表低分組(129人)共取260名為受試對象。本研究以身體質量指數、坐姿體前彎、一分鐘屈膝仰臥起坐、立定跳遠及1600公尺跑作為測驗項目,分別代表身體組成、柔軟度、肌肉適能、瞬發力與心肺耐力。使用獨立樣本t考驗進行資料處理,結果發現高分組的身體質量指數明顯低於低分組(21.87 ± 3.32 對 22.97 ± 4.54)(p <.05);坐姿體前彎未達顯著差異;其他項目則皆為高分組顯著優於低分組,測驗成績如下:一分鐘仰臥起坐成績44.32 ± 8.19次/分對39.38 ± 8.64次/分、立定跳遠成績196.04 ± 31.88公分對187.86 ± 30公分、1600公尺跑成績565.82 ± 109.27秒對619.09 ± 123.68秒。本研究得到以下的結論,學業成績表現較佳的男性青少年,似乎有體適能水準較佳的傾向。

Academic Performance and Fitness in Male Teenagers

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to investigate the physical fitness (body composition, flexibility, muscular fitness, power, and cardiovascular endurance) of male teenagers between different academic performance levels. There are 480 male students of third grade in San-Min Junior High school in Hsin Chu and 260 of them were recruited in the study. Taking 27% as cutting point, the subjects were dived in two high-score group (HG) and low-score group (LG) according to their academic performance, and there were 131 and 129 students in each group respectively. Body Mass Index (BMI), sit-and-reach, 1-min sit-ups, standing long jump, and 1600 meter run were involved as assessment battery. The data were analyzed by independent t-test, and the results were following: 1) BMI of HG was significantly higher than LG (21.87±3.32 vs. 22.97±4.54),(p<.05); 2) the difference in sit-and-reach was insignificant; 3) HG was significantly higher than LG in 1-min sit-ups (44.32±8.19, times/min vs. 39.38±8.64), standing long jump (196.04±31.88, cm vs. 187.86±30), and 1600 meter run (565.82±109.27, sec vs. 619.09±123.68). According to this study, male teenagers performed well in academics were supposed to have better physical fitness.
