藍茉莉花是知名的美國導演伍迪 · 艾倫在 2013 年執導的獲獎影片。慾望街車是一部由伊利亞卡贊導演根據著名的美國劇作家田納西 · 威廉斯的舞台劇而改編,此舞臺劇在1947年在百老匯也是由導演伊利亞卡贊所執導。在藍茉莉花上映後有許多電影評論提到藍茉莉花與慾望街車有類似的故事結構。
本研究的目的是要探討這兩部電影的異同,了解慾望街車是否伍迪艾倫創作的啟蒙。本研究採用比較分析來回答這些問題,通過研究這兩部電影,包括他們的戲劇結構、 背景和導演。本文的研究結論艾倫藉著患有精神疾病,布蘭奇 · 杜博斯,作為一種靈感,創造自己新的角色:茉莉,在藍色茉莉中他融入了自身的生活經驗。
