In order to increase the using time-limit of premium diesel fuel and reduce environmental pollution of exhaust gas emission from a DI Diesel engine , one way is to use Kerosene added with soybean oil as alternative fuel on Diesel engine .It has a lower fuel consumption than that of premium diesel fuel by 0.3% , also reduces about 35% exhaust gas emission concentration . However , it may make NOx increase by 6% in exhaust gas emission . In the case of reducing the fuel injection pressure , the fuel consumption is lower than that of the original operating pressure by 0.6% . However , it may make the exhaust gas concentration of Smoke , NOx , and HC increase by 0.7% , 12% , and 26% , respectively . If increasing the fuel injection pressure , it may not only get a higher fuel consumption difference of 0.7% compared with the original operating pressure but also increase the exhaust gas concentration of Smoke , NOx , and HC by 4% , 5% , and 2% , respectively .Therefore , it is not suited to increase or decrease the fuel injection pressure when using such a alternative fuel of Kerosene added with soybean oil in a DI Diesel engine .
