近年來國人健康意識抬頭,利用有氧運動提升心肺體適能已成為熱門課題。本論文借由芬蘭學者Sami Saalasti提出的學術研究,基於心率值預測運動後的過耗氧量(Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption,簡稱EPOC)所建構出的預測EPOC模型,使原本必須利用實驗室內昂貴設備量測出攝氧量,現在僅需量測心率值即可取代原先方法,得出攝氧量,並使用遞迴模型計算出EPOC值,大幅降低成本,且協助使用者輕易瞭解運動效果,進而獲得運動後恢復時間之預測。利用心肺功能儀器做為人體實測之心率及攝氧量,透過攝氧量,求出實際EPOC,與Sami Saalasti所建構出的EPOC模型做比較,透過Excel函數計算並繪出心率-攝氧量曲線及心率-EPOC曲線分析。計算分析協助使用者明瞭目前運動效果,判斷心肺體適能是否提升或下降及消耗卡洛里,同時再預測運動後生理恢復時間,幫助使用者確認休息是否充足,避免造成生理上的過度訓練。
In recent years, people has more awareness of health, therefore, aerobic exercise to improve cardiorespiratory fitness has become a popular issue.
In this thesis, the concept is grounded on that of one Finnish scholar, Sami Saalasti: predicting excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) based on the heart rate values is constructed by the prediction of EPOC model.
In the past, oxygen consumption (VO2) can simply be calculated by expensive machine in the laboratory, but this method is replaced by the latest approach. In the present, measuring heart rate values can calculate oxygen consumption (VO2) and the value of EPOC through recursive model. This new approach not only reduces the cost substantially compared to the previous method but assists users understand the exercise performance easily and predict the time of recovery after exercise.
Measuring heart rate (HR) and oxygen consumption (VO2) via cardiorespiratory instrument is to calculate the actual EPOC. The following step is doing the calculation through Excel functions from EPOC Model of Sami Saalasti, drawing the curve of heart rate (HR) - oxygen consumption (VO2), and analyzing the curve of heart rate (HR) - EPOC.
Calculation and analysis above is to assist users understand current exercise performance and determine whether cardiorespiratory fitness improves, deteriorates, or caloric is consumed. In the meantime, predicting the time of recovery after exercise assists users confirm whether the relaxation is adequate, avoiding overtraining physically.
