張玉慧 ( Yu-Hui Chang, 1970- )，台灣旅美優秀的作曲家，紐約古根漢美術館 (Guggenheim Museum, New York ) 推崇為「新一代作曲新秀」。近年來創作邀約不斷，作品也常獲得國際肯定；她的作品結合了東西方文化的元素，且有特殊而強烈的民族性格，並富有旺盛的生命力。
她於2006年完成的傑作《三首奇想小品》給單簧管獨奏( Three Fantasias for Solo Clarinet in B-flat)是受於親姊姊張文馨老師委託創作的。這三首小品是以台灣著名的民謠「丟丟銅仔」、「白鷺鷥」、「天黑黑」為主要素材，成功地融合了現代的和聲語言、傳統的音樂思維以及此曲的故事內容。本文將以四部分來探討這首作品，第一部分為探討台灣民謠的歷史背景，第二部分介紹作曲家生平及音樂創作風格，第三部分深入分析此作品，第四部分則提出詮釋的觀點。希望能夠藉由此研究，使聽眾更貼近作曲家在創作這首作品時的意境。

Yu-Hui Chang (born in 1970) is an excellent composer who is originally from Taiwan and lives in the United States now. The Guggenheim Museum, New York praised her highly as an talented young musician. In recent years, she has been invited to many international composition festivals and her works often became recognized; her works combine elements of the Western and the Eastern cultures as well as strong features of national characters.
Commissioned by her sister Wen-Shin Chang, she finished Three Fantasias for Solo Clarinet in B-flat was in 2006. This work is based on Taiwanese folk songs, Diu-Diu-Tong, White Egret and The Dark Sky, which successfully integrate the modern harmonic language, the traditional musical thoughts and the stories of these three songs. This article will explore the work in four chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the historical background of Taiwanese folk songs; the second chapter introduces the life of Yu-Hui Chang and her musical style; the third chapter is about the analysis of the work. The last chapter illustrates the points of the view. We expect that this article can enable the audience to better understand what the composer tend to state about this masterpiece.
