在目前越南商業銀行競爭激烈的情況下，零售銀行業務的發展是BIDV等銀行的迫切需求，這些都是涉及經濟和社會活動各方面的重大問題，但非常敏感。
通過投入時間和精力，本論文“發展商業性股份制投資銀行開展越南銀行業務-以東都支行為例”滿足了專業銀行和金融學的要求，主要內容如下：
首先補充、完善和編輯越南社會主義市場經濟條件下，商業銀行零售銀行服務理念和發展零售銀行服務的基礎上進行系統化。
其次，分析評估BIDV-Dong Do零售銀行業務發展狀況，指出成就和局限，特別是其成因。BIDV Dong Do在零售銀行業務發展過程中被視為亟待解決的問題。
最後，在比較理論和銀行經驗借鑒的基礎上，提出了BIDV的發展戰略，提出了發展零售銀行業務的一些解決方案，以2018年和2020年為契機。

In conditions of current fierce competition of commercial banks in Vietnam, the development of retail banking services is an urgent requiry for banks like BIDV Dong Do. These are big issues relating to all aspects of economic and social activities but very sensitive.
By investing time and effort accordingly, the thesis "DEVELOP RETAIL BANKING SERVICE AT BIDV - DONG DO BRANCH " has met the scientific requirements of the master thesis specialized banking and finance at the Academy of administration with the main scientific content as follows:
Firstly, systematized on the basis of supplement, complete and edit the rationale for retail banking service and development of retail banking services in commercial banks in the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam.
Secondly, analyzing and assessing the status of retail banking service development of BIDV-Dong Do; pointing out the achievements and limitations, especially its causes. It is considered as the pressing issues to be handled in the process of retail banking service development at BIDV Dong Do.
Thirdly, on the basis of comparison with theory and the experience reference of banks, the development strategy of BIDV, from which some solutions are proposed to develop retail banking services to 2018 and 2020 vision of BIDV Dong Do.
