Gold Investment in Post Financial Tsunami

ABSTRACT
In the second half of 2007, Sub-prime real estate loan crises led to global financial crisis savaging each country''s financial and economy. This research explores how to protect one''s own life-time saving from being diluted by inflation, to find the place for protecting fortune value during the current seriously economic recession and financial crises. Certainly--gold can demonstrate the character of chief corner stone.
The topic of this research follows a line from collecting the historical orbit of utilization of gold in human civilization to gain understanding of basic knowledge of gold. The next step is describing the application of gold in economic society, so to explore the functions of gold has in contemporary capitalist world.
The research employed Archival Research to systematically and objectively define, evaluate and comprehensive proving method to ensure the exactness of previous events and the accuracy of conclusion. The main purpose is to find out the past, see through the present and to predict the future. These will help the proceeding of research.
What trends can investors follow during post financial crisis period? It is assumed in this research that the necessity is cautious investment and the key point shall be shifted toward risk control, the futuristic investment trend shall be risk control, fighting inflation, hedging against weak US dollar, diversifying investment portfolio and asset value reservation.
The researchers interested in studying this subject shall be attentive to the western world led by the US would exert pressure on the appreciation of RMB during futuristic G2 period. From the perspective of "gold", how gold could function is a serious issue and shall be put into reference by researchers in the future.
