如何在日趨多變及複雜的環境中,永續經營,已經是企業迫切追求的策略方針。從早期的Porter五力分析、核心能力與資源基礎理論,已經無法幫助企業在面對快速變動環境時,所能面對因應的策略方針。因而由Teece et al.(1997)提出動態能力理論(簡稱DCT)。

DCT強調企業在多變局勢中,需要有彈性及快速地,持續配置、整合、重整內外組織資源,方能因應變動的市場變化,更重要的是提升競爭優勢。而動態能力之流程、定位及路徑三構面,該觀點更能貼近商業界之經營管理狀態。本研究透過實證研究並深入探討此理論模式。

寵物用品製造產業,競爭激烈及日趨飽和,如何突破重圍在產業獨領群雄便是值得探討議題。本研究採用個案研究法-單一個案研究,探討某寵物用品製造商在20年演進過程中與DCT之三要素之關聯,並給予策略建議及經營藍圖,幫助該企業創造競爭優勢及永續經營,也提供給相關廠商作為參考指標。
How to make a sustainable development survives in a complex and fast moving environment is a strategy which enterprises are eager to pursue. Porter five-force analysis, core competencies, and resource-based theory, are incapable to help enterprises confront the rapid changes in the environment. Hence, Teece et al.(1997) had proposed The Dynamic Capability Theory (referred as DCT).

DCT focuses that enterprises need better flexibility and speed. In addition, they need to perform continuous configuration, integration, reorganization of internal and external organizational resources in order to respond the fast changes of market. More importantly, this increases the competitive advantages of companies. The dynamic capability includes three elements: process, position, and path. These views are closer to the business sector management status. This study explores this theoretical model through empirical research and in-depth study.

Pet supplies market has become more and more saturated. The competition is also intense. How to break through this massive competition and becomes a great market leader is worth exploring. This study uses a case study method - a single case study which explores a pet supplies manufacturers in its 20 years of evolution and the correlation with the three elements of DCT. Moreover, the study adds the concepts of strategic recommendations to help the enterprise to create competitive advantages and develop sustainable management. This research study will be one influential reference for Taiwanese pet supplies manufacturers.
