Silence’ is a method to return the inner and enters a bondless plane. Through silence and meditation to observe my emotions, which help me to aspect the bewildered thoughts. The moment is opening the new direction without any pre-position. This thesis is mainly about a journey of silent companion and a dialectical process of thinking. It is the moment of experience, which is not the view perceive from external senses but rather the expression of inner thoughts. Silence and meditation help me to understand the outside world is not established in others yet myself, and all things are self-projection. The silent painting presents a self-release and a balance of life, which help me to see the world in a different point of view to observe the world.
This paper is divided into five chapters; First Chapter focuses on the analysis of the origin of this research creative motivation and purpose, research methods and area, a definition of terms. The centre of the Second Chapter is introducing the research references. The Third Chapter will draw out an analysis and expression of creative ideas, media techniques. The Fourth Chapter focuses on my practice, and then the last chapter will conclude the research and outline the value of the research.
In the process of writing the thesis, I will stand in front of my paintings to think, which seem contain a power that able to lead my thought to become clear. In consequence, that painting for me is a method to finding the balance in the inner world. Moreover, through a simple and repeating action of painting to understand the world from a different point of view, furthermore, which helps me to discover a world that similar to Laozi’s ‘Xinxiang’. It is the world only appears in the pure heart. Perhaps painting could be seen as a kind of meditation ceremony. The process of spiritual into sublimation is without the visible behaviour but a free heart with joy. In the consequence that we are entering a peaceful ‘silence’. In a coming up practice will toward to minimalist.
