本研究以焙燒(Torrefaction)來處理痲瘋籽及大豆，將200g以固定的加熱功率(70W)加熱至控制溫度250℃、270℃、290℃，到達設定溫度後停留1小時、2小時、3小時、4小時。最後對固體產物反應後之液體量、重量損失率、灰分含量、含水率以及熱值進行分析與探討。
根據實驗結果顯示，冷凝後所收集之液體量，隨著溫度愈高，所排出的液體量也愈多。其成分應包含了水、醋酸、甲醇等，而無法冷凝之氣體有CO2、CO、CH4、H2等。然而在一樣的時間一樣的溫度，痲瘋籽比大豆所裂解出的液體量還要多。
而重量損失率，當溫度到達290℃，其痲瘋籽之重量損失率約44.88％及大豆重量損失率約39.44％，且重量隨著時間增加有持續減少的趨勢，但時間超過一至二小時重量減少有限；而溫度對重量減少影響較為明顯。
資材在經油焙燒後，其重量約減少40％~45％，但熱值卻提升8％~12％(痲瘋籽)以及6％~10％(大豆)。而痲瘋籽的水分含量從原始的9.6%經由焙燒處理後減少至4.5%~6%，而灰分則是從2.3%增加至10%~12%。焙燒改善生質物性質，使其達到資材的生成機制並成一種可供利用的生質能。

In this study,roasting(Torrefaction) to handle the Jatropha seeds and soybeans,the 200g with a fixed heating power(70W) to control the heating temperature 250℃,270℃,290℃,reaches the set temperature to stay 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours. Finally,the product of the reaction of the solid volume of the liquid, the weight loss rate,ash content, moisture content and calorific value analysis and discussion.
According to the experimental results show that condensation of liquid collected after the amount, as the higher the temperature, the more the amount of liquid discharged.The ingredients should include water,acetic acid, methanol,etc.,can not be condensing the gases CO2,CO,CH4,H2,etc.However, in the same time as the temperature of leprosy by the cracking of soybean seed than the amount of liquid even more.
The weight loss rate, when the temperature reaches 290℃, the seeds of the Jatropha weight loss rate of about 44.88% and the soybean rate of about 39.44% weight loss, and weight increase over time with continued decline, but the weight of more than one to two hours reduction is limited; while reducing the impact of temperature on the weight is more evident.
Materials in the oil after calcination, the weight reduction of about 40% to 45%, but the calorific value has improved 8% to 12% (Jatropha seeds) and 6% to 10% (soybean). The Jatropha seed moisture content of 9.6% from the original treatment by roasting reduced to 4.5% to 6%, while the ash content is increased from 2.3% to 10% to 12%. Roasting biomass to improve the nature of things, to reach the materials of the formation mechanism and as an alternative use of biomass.
