在動畫的世界裡，器物可以自由自在地奔跑、跳動好一陣子了，這也是我們認清虛擬與現實的界線。本創作者本身產品設計的創作經驗中發現，在現實的世界，設計始於問題發現，而問題常來自於使用者使用上的困擾。一直到現在，本創作者的大部份創作都在思考現實世界陌生人們的需求，忽略虛擬世界設計的可能性。於是在此碩士畢業創作中，本創作者想為產品設計探索另一可能性，那就是藉由創作來模糊現實與虛擬的界線。

本創作者思考如何使家具自由活動的過程中，為了使其中一部份具備自由活動的能力，而必須限制其他部分的零件。創作過程中以追求其中一個部分的自由為目標，並加以設計其他零件來做配合。

最後將自由與鳥的意象作延伸設計，而創作三種不同形態樣貌的作品，分別為「部分自由-岳(Partial Freedom-Yama)」、「部分自由-纜(Partial Freedom-Cable)」與「部分自由-梢(Partial Freedom-Tip)」。藉由三個作品的製作過程，探討自由與產品設計的關係，以及釐清本創作是否達到賦予產品自由之目的。

All substances can be personified within the world of animation so that we can identify the boundary between reality and virtual world. From the experience of creating products the author find that design is started from finding out problems and the problems are often from the inconvenience of users’ operation in the real world. In the past years, with this real world thinking the author used to design products on considering people’s requirements of using products, but ignored another possibility of design of the virtual world. Thus, in this graduate design project for Master degree, the author tried to dim the line between reality and virtual life by creating a series of innovative furniture designs which can move autonomously.

In this design project, in order to make a part of the furniture moved freely, the author limited the movements of other segments on the furniture. The purpose of designing the furniture is freeing the operation of one part and fitting with the other portions.

Combining the image of freedom and birds, the author created three designs: Partial Freedom-Yama, Partial Freedom-Cable and Partial Freedom-Tip. Finally, this project discovered the relationship between freedom and product design through the process of manufacturing the design works and also clarified if the design really freed the furniture itself.
