本研究目的有三個：一、提出態度性評量工具中文化之辨證步驟-以性自我概念量表(Multidimensional Sexual Self-Concept Questionnaire, MSSCQ), (MSSCQ; Snell，1996)為例。包括：1. 驗證中文化「性自我概念」量表與原量表之擬合度。2. 探討「性自我概念」中文量表各面向收斂之可能性。二、檢視中文「性自我概念」量表之區辨（discriminant）程度。三、評價精神科護理人員個人屬性與性自我概念之相關狀況。
本研究屬橫斷面描述性及探索性研究，招募精神科急慢性、復健病房及日間留院等治療單位工作滿3個月的護理人員參與本研究，共發出249份問卷，回收215份問卷，回收率86.3﹪，去除填答遺漏及作答疲勞現象，有效問卷163份。研究結果依研究目的分述如下：首先以驗證性因素分析方法，驗證性自我概念評量工具之二十個面向，結果顯示：本研究中之精神科護理人員所呈現之性自我概念與原評量工具中的二十個面向擬合度(goodness-of-fit)無法符合。因本問卷工具區辨效度及性自我概念之理論架構尚在建構中，且本研究樣本同質性高，研究對象均為女性精神科護理人員，無論是在年齡、教育程度及其他背景狀態而言均十分相似，故尚需累積不同的研究族群，拓展具有不同經驗、背景的研究對象方能驗證多元化的性自我概念。
本研究另採用探索性因素分析方式，探究原評量工具的100題變項匯集為二十個面向後，此二十個面向中是否有聚集性，相互接近的概念能否聚成因子群。結果顯示本研究精神科護理人員之性自我概念能呈現出3類因子群的聚合。中文化MSSCQ量表能夠被第Ⅰ因子群解釋的總變異量為28.83﹪，第Ⅱ因子群能夠解釋的總變異量為17.82﹪，第Ⅲ因子群能解釋的總變異量為16.07﹪，此三類因子群共解釋62.72%性自我概念之變異量。顯示中文化MSSCQ量表確實有主要關注焦點的組合。
整體而言，運用中文化MSSCQ工具測量性自我概念可以區隔出同質性樣本之不同群集性及辨識群集間之差異性。因此，中文化MSSCQ工具應可用為評量個人性自我概念之工具。

ABSTRACT
The major aim of this study was to translate the English version of the Multidimensional Sexual Self-Concept Questionnaire (MSSCQ; Snell, 1996) to Chinese language and to evaluate its reliability and validity. There were three purposes of this study :
1、To raise the procedure for identification of the attitudinal assessment instrument which will be translated in chinese for example MSSCQ.In cluding : 1.To prove the goodness-of-fit of MSSCQ scale and the chinese scale of MSSCQ.2.Discussion the possibility for the convergence about every dimensional of MSSCQ chinese scale.
2、Examination the discriminant degree of MSSCQ chinese scale.
3、To evaluate the relation about the personal characteristics of psychiatric nurses and MSSCQ.
This study is a cross-sectional descriptive and discovery research, the samples including psychiatric acute, chronic and rehabilitative wards and day care unit nurses who all work over 3 months there are 249 portions questionnaire had been sent out and 215 portions are reclaimed the ratio of reclaimation is 86.3%, then we exclude some filling defects, there are 163 portions purposive sample.The results were descripted according to the study purpose as below : The first, according to the confirmatory factor analysis method to prove the MSSCQ. These results show that sexual self-concept of psychiatric nurses in this study couldn’t have goodness-of-fit with MSSCQ. Because of the discriminate validity of our questionnaire and the theory of sexual self-concept are still building, and the high degree homogeneity of these samples in this study, including sex, occupation, age, level of education and other background. So we should collect other different groups who have different perience or background to prove
This study use exploratory factor analysis method to discuss these 100 items influx to 20 dimentions, then if they could assemble ? if these concepts could curdle to be factors? The results of this study show that the sexual self-concept of psychiatric nurses can express 3 assemble factors. The MSSCQ chinese scale variation can be explained by factors Ⅰ are 28.83%, by factors Ⅱ are 17.82%, and by factors Ⅲ are 16.07%, Total sexual self-concept variations could be explained by our 3 factors are 62.72%. These results show that MSSCQ chinese scale has chief focus dimention.
In brief, using MSSCQ chinese scale to evaluate sexual self-concept can discriminant the different cluster and the variation among the clusters. Thus, MSSCQ chinese scale could be used to evaluate personal sexual self-concept.
