Because of its merits, the automatic yuning of controllers have been a research interest for many years. Usually, it is difficult and time-customing to tune controller with many parameters. The purpose of this work is to develop algorithms for automatic tuning of Lead-Lag controllers. We first study the parameter identification problems and obtain the plant's transfer function. We then study the design methodology for desiging PID and LEAD-LAG controllers. Finally, we apply the proposed methods to control the positioning of rotary table and single-axis arm. Simulation results show that combining estimation and PI plus Lead controllers we can fine tune the rotary table and single-axis arm positioning.
