臺灣博碩士論文加值系統

　　一個健康的都市環境應包括規劃完善的實質環境與社會環境，而近年常被提出之緊密城市、新都市主義與聰明成長之空間結構規劃理論，其背景皆是因為過去都市蔓延所帶來的負面影響而發展出來的，各自的內涵除了實質環境的規劃設計原則外，還包括社會互動等非實質性內涵。社會資本為存在於群體網絡間的資源，社會資本依據其內涵以及分析對象可劃分四種不同類型的社會資本，本文以個人認知之信任、網絡、規範等認知性社會資本為研究主。影響社會資本之因素包括個人層次以及個人所嵌套之外在實質環境的影響，本研究乃欲探討台灣地區緊密城市發展型態下，建成環境因素對個人之社會資本所產生影響為何？並且考量影響社會資本的來源來自居民本身社會經濟背景納入居民之特質後又會對社會資本產生何種的影響，此為本研究所欲發掘的問題。考慮到影響社會資本之因素具有階層性，本研究採用二階層的階層線性模式（Hierarchical Linear Model, HLM），架構出影響社會資本之二階層線性模式架構，實證台灣地區緊密城市對社會資本之影響。

　　本研究乃2005年度台灣社會變遷調查計畫資料與政府單位調查報告等資料作為本研究之自變數與應變數之資料來源。總體層次自變數有7項變數，個體層次自變數有10項自變數。以台灣地區為研究之地理範圍，應用資料具有階層性的概念區分為44個鄉鎮市區作為總體層次之樣本，個體層次則為各鄉鎮市區年滿18歲之居民為樣本，合計1782個樣本。研究過程中將44個鄉鎮市區分類為緊密城市集群與次緊密城市集群兩種都市發展類型，再透過SPSS12.0與HLM6.02軟體進行資料分析，並以分析之結果進行假設的驗證。

　　本研究之實證結果發現，緊密城市發展集群對社會資本有不同的影響，總體層次自變數在緊密城市集群中皆有顯著之影響力；在次緊密城市集群中，醫療院所數量、建築密度、水平混合使用及垂直混合使用變數對居民之社會資本有正向影響關係，在個體層次自變數方面，居民居住時間越長及社會經濟地位較高者在兩集群中皆有正向影響關係。最後針對分析結果對台灣地區城鄉環境發展策略提出建議。

　　There are lots of discussions of Compact city development on physical environment, but there is a lack of discussion about the relationship between compact city development features and social capital. The study defines a specific type of social capital—individual perceptions of trust, participation, network, norms and friendship. The purpose of the study is to understand the relationships among the compact city development patterns, individual’s characteristics and individual’s social capital in Taiwan.

　　The study investigated the effect of individual and city level characteristics on social capital in Taiwan. Indicators for social capital and individual variables are drawn from the “Taiwan social change survey” conducted in 2005. And the compact city features were used from the statistic data published by local government. Using 2-level hierarchical models, the sample included 1782 cases in 44 cities. And used the cluster analysis based on compact city characteristics for the 44 cities in Taiwan, the result showed that we can define two compact city development patterns: compact city type and subcompact city type. Hierarchical linear model analysis were conducted separately for the two type of compact city development patterns to examine the hypotheses and compare the difference effects of two type of compact city development patterns on social capital.

　　The study found that all the city level variables has statistically significant association with social capital in the compact city type, and in the subcompact city type, medical institution, building density, horizontal mix of uses and vertical mix of uses has positive statistically significant associations with social capital at city level. In terms of the individual characteristic, residence time and socio-economic status has positive association with social capital. This study further recommends some strategies for local government to improve compact city development.
