In business activities of Vietnamese commercial banks, credit is one of the activities that generate the highest profit to banks. However, this activity also bears high risks. In order to limit risks, good financial appraisal of project is very important in considering to grant credit to customers and it is a very significant stage in considering and approving credit to customers.
If the stage of financial appraisal is good, it will ensure return capacity of the projects, minimize financial damages for the bank, ensure benefits of customers and raise reputation of the bank in market.
For such significance, the analysis, measurement and recommendation of solutions to improve effectiveness of financial appraisal of credit projects is very necessary and practically significant for sustainable development of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam in general and Ha Tay branch in particular.
After a time of researching the implementation and consideration of lending at Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam – Ha Tay Branch with combination of theory and practice, being aware of such issue, I choose the topic “Financial analysis of investment project: lending activities of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Investment and Development Bank” for my graduation thesis.
