The purpose of this study was to investigate explore the social support and life adjustment of Vietnamese international students enrolled in a Private University in central part of Taiwan. In addition to interviews, data include observations and other related documents.
The results are as follows: Vietnamese international students were influenced by study will, language ability, local customs, homesickness. And they adopted different adjustment differences.
Informational supports of Vietnamese international students were almost from non-relative support system, contained primary and sencondary systems, seeking daily tips and coursework assistance. When Vietnamese students needed instrumental and emotional support, most primary systems that prefer non-relatives request assistance. The suggestions were inluded: setting Chinese language identification threshold for foreign students and strengthen the course taught in Chinese.
