Building strategy is a frequent task of enterprises. Identifying an accurate strategy will directly affect goal achievement and mission of an enterprise. However, not many Vietnamese enterprises have good business strategies. The failure of enterprisesis the evidence for weakness in strategy. Therefore, strategy is a topical issue that enterprises always concern, even those with good well-developed strategies. This thesis aimed to evaluate the development strategy of Tuong An Vegetable Oil Joint Stock Company in 2004-2014, and provide strategy for Tuong An Vegetable Oil Joint Stock Company in the period of 2015-2020. Through using tools of strategic planning, the author propose two strategic groups (general and functional strategies). Strategies need to be emphasized are product development, cooperation with vegetable oil companies, a search for stable material sources and the improvement of propaganda branding. Regarding strategic planning, the thesis does not pay attention to competitive strategy but focuses on the strategy of product development (to avoid direct competitions against corporations in the same sector).
