在現今的家庭室內環境中,個人電腦、家電與個人化通訊設備的使用已經相當普及,但彼此缺乏統一的架構與協定,使得在這環境中存在許多由不同設備所架構形成的網路。同時隨著行動通訊技術的日新月異,使用者除了利用原有的有線的電話網路外,還可以利用下一世代行動電話網路,透過行動電話網路來進行數據交換等服務。
本論文主要研究在家用網路的環境中,如何利用藍芽技術來架構出無線端家用網路。包括了以下幾個部分:
(一)、家用網路無線端架構:
首先探討家用網路無線端扮演的角色與應有的組織構形,並透過對藍芽技術的解構,將之分解成較小單位的協定與設備,而後重行組織成適合家用網路無線端所使用的無線網路,使之能構成家用網路無線端控制通道與資料傳輸通道的基本要素。
(二)、家用網路無線端設備控管機制:
除了使用Link Manager Protocol來管理點對點之間的鏈結(Link)外,還需要另外建構一個新的協定,讓使用者能夠跨越數個hop來控制、維護與管理整個網路的設備,甚至進行家用設施的控管。
(三)、家用網路無線端即時性資料傳輸策略:
原本藍芽技術所採用的TDD+Polling通道存取模式,當參與Piconet的設備越多與每個點產生資料負載量越大時,即會大幅降低有效的的資料傳輸速率與增加資料在傳輸上的時間延遲,使得透過這個系統來傳送即時性資料,其性能表現變的相當惡劣。故透過加權分配法或是固定時槽配置法,可以滿足那些需要爭取較多資料傳輸速率與較低時間延遲的端點設備的需求。
