The importance of job satisfaction for English teachers that work in a cram school in Taiwan has a positive correlation to the quality of their teaching performance. Teaching performance in a cram school is a key factor in shaping the students' English fluency. Although not every cram school is alike, cram schools have similar motivational factors for teachers to positively or negatively affect teachers' job satisfaction. In terms of leadership, motivating workers is one of the most difficult tasks due to different workers' needs. A universal incentive to satisfy and motivate all workers is unlikely.

The following paper will discuss and highlight the different motivational factors that increase job satisfaction for English teachers working in Taiwanese cram schools. Furthermore, the paper will examine which motivational factors have a significant impact on English teachers and also study the relationship among the motivational factors.

A quantitative approach is used for the aforementioned study. The data was collected by questionnaires, which was sent through social media and afterwards analyzed by Stata 14. The result from the data conclusively show that both Taiwanese and Foreign teachers at English cram schools in Taiwan are generally satisfied with the job. Furthermore, other motivational factors, such as "colleagues" and "leadership" have significant impact on the teacher's overall job satisfaction. Teachers, particularly female educators, that earn a monthly salary of more than 32,000 TWD indicate a higher job satisfaction than teachers who earn less.

This study may benefit English cram schools in Taiwan to help understand the variety of motivational factors that affect English teachers. English cram school owners and managers can increase teacher job satisfaction in order to increase English teaching quality, therefore, improving the English skills of the students. Due to the overall improvement of job satisfaction and teaching quality in the cram school, an increase of student applications, high quality job seekers, and financial gain is highly likely.
