臺灣博碩士論文加值系統

本論文主要探討副手（non-dominant hand）在臺灣手語（Taiwan Sign Language）篇章中的表現以及功能，我們認為副手的保留以及重複出現在篇章中具有銜接的功能。
主要探討的議題是來自於Vermeerbergen（2001）對於手部的共現結構（simultaneity）的分類，他認為分別有以下這五種：第一種雙手皆為分類詞；第二種一手為分類詞，另一手以單手打其他手語詞彙；第三種一手保留前一個詞彙，另一手以單手打其他手語詞彙；第四種一手為指稱詞，另一手以單手打其他手語詞彙和第五種一手為手語數字詞彙，另一手以單手打其他手語詞彙。
這五種手部的共現結構在篇章中的表現往往副手會被保留或者再次重複出現，而主手則繼續打接下去的篇章內容。其中第三種副手在篇章所保留的部分又可以區分為無意義的語意保留和有意義的語意保留。所謂無意義的語意保留指的是副手保留前一個詞彙部分手形，但是無法給予任何語意；相對於有意義的保留在我們看來是副手保留前一個詞彙手形，作為分類詞，並且和後面篇章句子產生關聯，是手語使用者有意地保留副手。
基於以上觀察，我們注意到Vermeerbergen所提的第一、第二種和第三種中有意義的保留在臺灣手語篇章表現，副手以分類詞方式保留，而主手則繼續打接下去的篇章內容。根據Chang, Su & Tai（2005）的分析，將分類詞視為代形詞（proform），功能用來代替之前所提過的事物名稱。本論文同樣參考他們做法，將分類詞視為代形詞。因此第一個議題探討副手代形詞在篇章中的表現以及副手代形詞的保留與重複出現對於篇章發揮了銜接功能。
第二個議題同樣來自Vermeerbergen（2001）所提的第五種共現結構在臺灣手語篇章的表現，我們注意到副手往往會以列舉詞素(enumeration morpheme )方式保留和重複出現，主手則繼續打接下去的篇章內容。因此第二個議題探討副手列舉在篇章中的表現以及討論副手列舉詞素的保留與重複出現發揮了銜接功能。
