This thesis presents many algorithms for perfecting the connections between distribution transformers and a primaryfeeder to improve the imbalance as well as the operationefficiency of a distribution feeder. Four Taipower distribution feeders were used to verify the validity of the proposed algorithms. The results indicate that three-phase voltages, currents and loads imbalances along a feeder as well as thevoltage drop, line losses and the frequence of malfunction ofgrounding relay can be effectively reduced. Consequently, the power quality of a distribution system can be improved by usingthe proposed algorithms.
