Abstract RHA-Al2O3 binary oxide supported nickel catalyst prepared by deposition-percipitation examined in methanantion of CO2 from H2/CO2(4/1)mixtrue gas and high selectivity (80~95%)for CH4formation was found in proceeding the reaction at 673~873K withs supported nickel. During the investigations of preparation conditions, effects of nickel loading, AL2O3 content in support, deposition-precipitation time, calcination time, calcination temperature, reaction time and reaction temperature on catalytic behavior were persented and discussed , The results indicate that the metal dispersion increases with decreasing of nickel loading , The higher the nickel loading, the larger the crystallite size becomes,The CH4 selectivity depends on AL2O3 content in supports and calcination conditions; the CH4 yield acheieves a maximum value in CO2gydrogenation at 773K. It is examined by temperature-programmed reduction techniques that catalyst prepared by this method shows the effect of metal-support interactions. Moreover, in comparison with nickel catalysts supported on RHA-Al2O3 and SiO2-Al2O3 by H2-TPD techniques and reaction test, RHA-AL2O3 is apreferable support in methanation of carbon dioxide.
