「動靜」實為一互相對立與互相統一的聯繫。兩者分別代表著事物的「陰」與「陽」、「虛」與「實」；一體兩面的關係。若能對此兩種相度有所體悟，便能對事物的問題做更深入的探索與剖析。「生命」的概念和動與靜的關係有著相同邏輯性，「生命」是經由靜態循環來維持動態平衡的一種過程，一靜一動互相消、長或新陳代謝來維持一個完整的生命。因此，本創作論述期望針對「動靜」與「生命」的觀點，並探討藝術設計相關的理論，將所整理歸納的設計理念與手法應用於設計創作之中。創作的初期將「動靜」的理念應用於生活用品設計的嘗試。「動靜」的理念與初期的作品有著一段互相磨合的階段；而後期則發現在設計汽車時，動與靜的理念較能為己所發揮與表現。 因此期望藉由「動」與「靜」這兩者對比又存於一體的關係，以表現筆者對於動靜的價值觀與統一的型式，並培養自我對創作上的造形風格與設計手法。

Movement and Silence are actually two rivalry and coexisting elements representing respectively as yin and yang or void and substantiality, interconnected and interdependent to each other. The comprehension of the two elements leads to deeper exploration and analysis of the problems existing in objects. The concept of “life” shares the same logic with the concept of Movement and Silence. Life refers to the process of keeping motion balance through steady circulation, and the increase and decrease of Movement and Silence or the metabolism sustain the whole of life. Therefore, this article is expected to discuss the theories of arts and design, apply the concluded design philosophy as well as the design techniques to the creations based on the concepts of motion and stillness. The initial works are the attempts of applying the concept of Movement and Silence to everyday items as the works were experimented to fit the concept. The works of the latter phase better interpret the concept through the design items of automobiles. Hence, the expectation was made to manifest the values and form of design of the creator through the rivalry and co-existing relation between Movement and Silence. The result is the self-development on the aspects of styling and design techniques.
