機器手掌是為相當有趣且具有挑戰性之工程研究主題，目前開發之大多數機器手掌設計係以馬達作為驅動元件，其手指關節運動以一馬達控制單一手指關節自由度，然而以仿生學角度來說，人類手指關節運動是由多肌腱控制手指之關節自由度。故本論文係以仿生學角度來分析人類手指之運動行為並加以簡化，並以類神經網路建立類人機器手指關節之運動行為模型。此一模型分為正向與逆向運動行為模型，每根手指由四條腱纜線驅動其手指關節之四個自由度，正向運動行為模型係以腱位移量作為輸入，關節角度作為輸出；逆向運動行為模型則以關節角度作為輸入，腱位移量作為輸出。同時實作一類人機器手掌實驗平台驗證此類神經網路運動行為模型，實驗平台近端處為一機器手掌，其上之每條腱纜線所對應的腱位移量測裝置則架設於實驗平台遠端處。由平台收集四指共280 筆訓練樣本資料量，使用MATLAB 類神經網路工具箱進行訓練，每筆資料量的訓練次數為1000 次，完成訓練之運動行為模型再以20 筆實驗樣本資料量進行驗證，驗證結果其運動行為模型具有平均97~98%的準確性。

Robotic palm is a very interesting and challenging research topic. Most of the robotic palm is driven using motors, and each motor controls individual joint independently. However, such a robotic palm driving mechanism is not analog to the human’s palm. The fingers on the human’s palm are driven in terms of multiple muscle fiber bundles (i.e., tendons). Therefore, this thesis proposes a simplified kinematic model for the finger joint angles and the tendon displacements based on the exercise physiology of the palm motions. The simplified kinematic model of a robotic finger is configured with four degree of freedoms, and is controlled using four tendons. Because of complicated and nonlinear relationships between four degree-of-freedom driven finger joints and the four driving tendons, this work proposes a back propagation based neural network to construct this model. This model is evaluated in the direct and inverse manners, and they perform two-way transformations between joint angles and tendon displacements. To validate the proposed neural network based kinematics models, an experimental platform is constructed as a passive five-ginger mechanical palm with 20 tendons. There are 280 training patterns for four fingers to be collected for training the neural network model using the Matlab tool box. The training is converged within 1000 iterations. The converged model is evaluated using additional 20 test data sets. Consequently, the experimental results show that the accuracy of recall is within 98% to 99%.
