臺灣博碩士論文加值系統

本論文擬探討德文推理小說譯作作品，是否亦與國內英美推理小說譯作相同，譯者於文化詞的翻譯處理上，是傾向採流暢及透明翻譯手法或偏向將異文化呈現於譯文中。此外，譯文傾向目的語讀者或傾向源語文化看似對立，然而在實際翻譯過程中，亦混和許多翻譯策略及手法。因此筆者亦擬探討，於上述兩大方向之外，是否仍有其他翻譯可能，及就中德兩種不同歷史背景及思維，譯者所選用之翻譯手法是否能達到文化交流，抑或造成譯文讀者無法理解，甚或產生誤解的情況？

本論文以德國作家席拉赫 (Ferdinand von Schirach) 之作品《罪行》(Verbrechen) 為研究對象，並依紐馬克 (Peter Newmark) 所提出之五大文化範疇，將源語文本內之文化詞進行分類，以及美國翻譯理論家偉努第 (Lawrence Venuti) 所提出之歸化與異化翻譯理論作為基礎，以檢視譯者如何處理源語文本中之文化問題。

研究結果顯示，《罪行》譯本傾向採流暢、透明的翻譯手法。此現象亦與國內英美推理小說譯作相同；異化的手法僅占總例子的少數。研究中更進一步發現，文化詞的翻譯除上述兩大方向外，譯者亦透過異化輔以歸化策略來傳遞源語訊息，也就是除了將異文化保留在譯文中之外，同時也透過釋義、增譯或加注的歸化策略向讀者解釋源語訊息所指何物。筆者在此研究中僅以《罪行》一部著作作為研究對象，期待將來有更多的論文關注德文推理小說譯作此一領域，進而提出更豐富的研究結果。

This study aims to find out the translation of German-Chinese crime fiction, in which whether the translator tends to make the target text more readable, fluent and transparent, together with the cultural differences from the source text will be shown to the target reader. Furthermore, the translation strategy towards to target reader or source culture seems to be somehow opposing; however, it will combine lots of different strategies and methods in the real translating practices. For this reason, this study is also targeting to find out whether there is other possibilities that do not included in the two main directions mentioned in terms of different culture or history between the two languages. On the other hand, if those are affiliated with culture lexemes that are not translated appropriately and literally, the original sentences, sections and paragraphs may be misguided to different meanings, and this may result in misunderstanding and confusion to Chinese readers. Therefore, the core of this study is to find out the solutions how the translators solve this problem.

The Work Verbrechen (Crime) from German author Ferdinand von Schirach is chosen as the object of research and In order to precisely distinguish cultural terms Verbrechen''s, the classification of cultural terms is based on five Cultural Categories from American Translation Scholar, Peter Newmark. In addition, the Theory of Domesticating and Foreignizing Strategies from American translation scholar, Lawrence Venuti, will be used as the theoretical bases in terms of analyzing, probing on how the translator dealing with the cultural lexemes.

The research collected 90 examples from source text and the result shows that the 58 of the 90 examples were dealt with domesticating strategy; there were just only 9 foreigning examples. However, the rest of 23 examples were mixed form of two strategies, which indicates that not only can the unfamiliarity keeps in the target text, but the translators can simultaneously add more additional background information, which belongs to the foreingning strategy, to explain cultural terms. This result shows that translation does not follow a single strategy or method, but many different ways.
