This study explores the relationship between insurance and economic growth in China and India. Based on the empirical result of this study , China's insurance market affects more GDP per capita. Among the three insurance indicators of insurance density, insurance penetration and premium income, only the premium income of property insurance has a two-way causal relationship with GDP per capita, so the market in China It is found that the development of the insurance market will promote economic growth, while economic growth has no obvious performance for the development of the insurance market. In the Indian market, there is no such obvious causal relationship in the Chinese market. The insurance penetration of property and insurance and life insurance has a significant impact on GDP per capita. However, in terms of premium income, GDP per capita has affected significantly by the premium income of property and insurance and life insurance.
