This study collected the trading data of vegetable and Typhoon affecting Taiwan between 2003 and 2016 to explore whether the typhoon could affect the vegetable price. The frequent period of typhoon affecting Taiwan is between July and September in each year (77.2%). The most common intensity of typhoon is the mild typhoon (45.8%) and the most frequent path of typhoon landed Taiwan is from the eastern part of Taiwan (52.1%). For factors affecting the price of vegetables, the number of typhoons per month has a positive effect in the price of vegetables, and the stronger the typhoon intensity is, the higher the average price of vegetables is. For accumulated rainfall, the cumulative rainfall during typhoon period does not affect the price of vegetables in this month, but it has a significant positive impact on the price of vegetables in next month.
