本研究將分析智利作家Isabel Allende對Johnston McCuelley的作品再創作的《蘇洛》(El Zorro)一書中三位女性角色的情感是否受到斯德哥爾摩症候群所影響。本研究利用心理學與犯罪學上對斯德哥爾摩症候群之研究分析對比小說中三位女性角色所處的環境、面對的情況與所產生的行為反應進行比較。
本研究的假設為三者皆受到斯德哥爾摩症候群所影響。第一個案例為Toypurnia在被俘後被帶往上加利福尼亞省進行改造，在被改造後嫁給當時俘擄她的Alejandro de la Vega；而第二例是Juliana de Romeu被海盜Jean Lafitte所綁架，但卻瘋狂愛上Jean Lafitte，甚至最後與其成婚；最後一例是Lolita Pulido，在被Diego de la Vega率領同伴襲擊而失火的監獄中和Zorro相遇，隨即愛上Zorro並主動獻吻，更下定決心要嫁給蘇洛。
在經過心理學中對斯德哥爾摩症候群的研究結果比對後，結論是其中二例的狀況其客觀環境條件與反應的確與斯德哥爾摩症候群符合，而另一例在客觀外在環境的條件並不符合，若是以錯誤歸因理由予以解釋較為合理。

In this research, we will analyze the female characters’ illogic loves in Isabel Allende’s the novel El Zorro, recreative the recreation edition of Johnston McCulley’ famous character, Zorro; to investigate if they were under the influence of the Stockholm Syndrome. We will use the researches of psychology and criminology to analyze the circumstance and the conditions which three female characters were facing and their reactions.
This investigation assumes that in these three cases, all the characters were under the influence of the Stockholm Syndrome. In the first case, after being captured, Toypurnia was brought to Alta California by Alejandro de la Vega to be re-educated. After the re-education, Toypurnia married to Alejandro, the persona who captured her; the second case, Juliana de Romeu was kidnapped by pirate Jean Lafitte, but fell madly in love with him, and, at last, even married him; the final case is Lolita Pulido, who came across with Zorro when he and his fellows were assaulting the prison, and fell in love with Zorro, then kiss with him and decided to marry him.
After comparing with the psychological theories, two of these cases match the conditions and reactions of the Stockholm Syndrome, but the other does not match. Instead, if we use the theory of misattribution to explain it, it will be more reasonable.
