This study focuses on dyadic networks and ego-centered networks of two analytic level. The main purpose of this study investigates how informal organization can affect formal organization, with organizational citizenship behavior to be the mediator. This study combined with social network analysis method within organizational-level and individual-level respectively. The measurement of each dimension is as follows: informal organization takes friendship network, formal organization includes workflow network, and organizational citizenship behavior considers organizational citizenship behavioral network as its measurement.
This research utilizes qualitative analysis by collecting questionnaires on 123 employees of Puli Christian Hospital. First, the study makes degree centrality networks by NetDraw software.Second, the study emphases on organizational level and its network data is analysed by UCINET VI to test the research hypotheses. Finally, the study uses SPSS 20 to do a regression analysis to test the research hypotheses on individual level. The results support the mediating role of organizational citizenship behavioral network between friendship network of informal organization and workflow network of formal organization. Based on the results, further discussions were presented with future suggestion for research directions.
