第一章緒論指出研究目的，以當時胡麥爾時代的社會背景、歷史背景的思想潮流—啟蒙運動和後期的浪漫主義，對於古典樂派的音樂影響。以及胡麥爾當時代的社會和藝術的貢獻，最後分析及解說如何詮釋胡麥爾的F大調低音管協奏曲的研究。
